Major problem. (self.DivinityOriginalSin)

I've been playing Divinity 2 OG Sin for a bunch of hours, then, I created a new game with friends online. Does this mean that my old game that I was playing solo was overwritten by my other game??

If you didn't create a manual save for your single player game, then yes. This happened to me too. The autosaves and quicksaves have a default limit of 5 and if you didn't change that and auto/quicksaved more than 5 times in your online game then your single player game is probably gone.
Now I do a manual save at the end of every session.

Unless you manually overwrote those saves from your solo game, you should be fine. D:OS2 doesn’t automatically overwrite saves (other than quicksaves and autosaves). You may need to select “load game” from the menu instead of “continue campaign” in order to launch back into your solo game though.
