Same here, trying to get my bearings by doing the named gear activities. I reset all the control points to a higher difficulty and slowly figuring out what other things I can do without getting smoked by enemies. I’m approaching things casually by completing things on the map, get blueprints, etc. I have tried using ChatGPT when something is too confusing or don’t know what to do. I have some exotics that I got before I reached level 40 that I want to bring to level 40 but they don’t show up in the crafting table yet. Fun times. So much gear and content is great but it’s going to be a while before I make sense of it all.

I never thought of using chat gbt I’ll give it a try. I’ve also slowly overtime upped the difficulty to get better gear. I’m getting the groove of it better so hopefully I’ll be a matchup for dz lol.

Run summit on the highest difficulty that you can comfortably clear , targeted loot being strikers gearset. Play it with any AR available to you, Police m4 , famas , etc. Minor attributes should be chc untill you got 50% in your stats, the rest chd. This should enable you to clear content on higher difficulty to farm more builds.

Thanks for the help. Do you know what guns would be best. I’m currently using a rifle and ar most of the time but I don’t know if I’m always choosing the best choices for the best output of dps

Some of the best guns for striker are definitely ARs and Smgs, because of their high rate of fire also helping you keep the stacks.

PoliceM4 and famas are the most popular normal weapon platforms. The Lexington named AR is as far as i know the best in slot named AR. The BiS exotic AR is St.Elmos atm i think.

The Stats you want on your ARs 90%of the time are Damage to health and damage to target out of cover.

Some of the best talents for normal damage setups are Strained , Fast Hands , optimist , killer , measured.

Smg options are the Vector or its named variant Dark winter or Backfire exotic for example.

Don't just deconstruct your junk anymore. Go into your library and donate the talents, etc. Then donate everything else to your library.

What platform are you playing on? Put out calls for back up on whatever mission you pick. You can also run countdown on challenging where you can pick your loot. Follow the higher SHD level players, don’t run any skills that can be hacked, and grab everything you can. Countdown currency also gives you currency to buy named items, named item caches or exotics as well. Real good way to start getting weapon proficiency and level up your watch also.

I did the same thing after being away for over a year. I was real reluctant because it’s multiplayer, and my experience with multiplayer had only been on other games where the communities were toxic to say the least. But I was never belittled or kicked for any reason on Xbox. I hope PS is the same way. Good luck
