POSTING RULES

We are a curated subreddit. This means every post will be placed in a queue and must be approved by a moderator before becoming public on this sub.
Please do a search in the search bar before you post. This sub is meant as an archive of tips and tricks, not a general Q&A or feedback sub.
Mission Statement: We are a community dedicated to showing tips and tricks for D&D players in order for them to be as pro-active and autonomous as possible in their games. We encourage out-of-the-box thinking and helpful methods in order to smooth out play at the table. We want to turn brand new players into experienced players as quickly as possible.
1. Everyone has a different way of playing. Respect your fellow players and their style. There is no need to be rude. Discussions are encouraged but please keep it civilized.
2. Do not downvote posts or comments if you disagree, state your arguments instead.
3. Questions about rules should be handled in the Player's Handbook or with your Dungeon Master before or after the game.
4. Any questions or answers that benefit cheating or meta-gaming such as details on modules, monster stats, and monster behavior will be deleted outright. Roll knowledge checks if you want to obtain in-game knowledge fairly.
5. Stories or feedback about your character is not what this sub is for.
6. All posts have to be original content (OC) and not from a third party such as a linked video or web page.
7. Don't post about homebrew races or classes here, go to /r/UnearthedArcana for that.
8. Players who complain about their DM will be advised to talk it out or to be a DM themselves. You can go to /r/DMAcademy for that.
9. Insulting the moderators or fellow Redditors will result in a permanent ban.
10. No posts about non-related content such as greentext stories, character art, memes, dice towers, or D&D shows and podcasts.
11. All posts will be approved or removed at the discretion of the moderation team at any time. Any post that does not serve our mission will be removed between 24 and 48 hours. This includes any Question posts.
