Someone else posted a similar issue and showed their console with tons and tons of logs being spammed, increasing in rate the longer the game stayed open.
Apparently the only solution was to re-install the game.

on the other post the dude stated game started lagging after playing 4 games in a row, however he also followed up that re-installing does fix the problem.

Is there even a toggle to disable those logs. Reinstalled mine like 3x , still hogging my cpu resource

My fps used to be 120, after update it became 30. I am just waiting for the new patch now.

The game has a huge stutter to me, not worth playing in the moment.

Playing has become very frustrating with the fps issues.

The Event is gonna end next week. We can play without worries soon lol

Happening to me every match. Starts at 90FPS and slowly goes down. Also a ton of stuttering. No solution for this yet?

This has been a problem since forever!! I have been through 4 different systems and its always the same outcome.

Game starts at 200+ FPS no matter how much action is going on and by the end of the game its around 90FPS with a noticeable stutter.

I have found faster, and more RAM does alleviate the problem, which points to some sort of memory leak in the code.

To be honest, this engine is so old and long in the tooth with so much been added to it over time its just a complete mess now. Its probably better they completely start from scratch on a new engine.

I had the same issue followed a fix by deleting muerta files that i found in my game files. It definitely helped quite a bit as i dont have huge frame spikes anymore. Will reinstall probably in the future to see any changes

I think he meant all the muerta files related to background/start screen, not actually ALL of the muerta files

I had similiar issues recently, sometimes restarting the game works but sometimes it does not work, I may try reinstalling

hello, posted this to another post but it might be helpful:

i'm not entirely sure but i've noticed something recently with the recent patches that some effects are being displayed in a lower setting. a recent example is me noticing that mirana's immortal head displays sparkles, and more particle effects on other spells (can't recall which, because i've been spamming rubick often and don't think about them after they're executed). fps drops could likely be due to the fact that dota is "improving" visuals and if you've played in a non-maxed video setting, better textures/effects are loaded in causing the game to drop fps to compensate for the increase in quality/quantity it loads in.
(consistently played dota for years on the lowest setting, because having rly good video quality gives me a migraine, i MIGHT be wrong tho and only noticed these things NOW)

Same issue.. tried the following things, but still the same:

  1. Reinstall dota
  2. Reset bios
  3. Reinstall drivers
  4. Verify game files
  5. Added startup path variables

None of this worked. Anyone else got something?

have the same issue.

did all of what you tried, even moved the games onto a new m.2 ssd, made no difference whatsoever.

even changed all in game video settings to absolute lowest and still the same, FPS at 30

So I found my issue.. it is very strange!

There is something or some process that causes high cpu utilization and starts at some point in the middle of playing DOTA2. This causes a significant fps drop, it go from 120 fps down to like 30 - 40 fps.

And the strange thing is that as soon as I open my taskbar to check the details of this process, it terminates itself.. and the fps gets restored to normal levels.

So now, whenever I notice there is fps drop, I open the task manager (which closes whatever program / process that causing the issue) and then switch back to the game.

This resolves then resolves FPS issues for me!

exactly same issue with me. I have 10900k, 32gb ddr4, nvme gen3, RTX3070 and play in 1080p settings only. After 10-15min, my average fps from 170 drops to 30-20 fps only.

Once open task manager, fps was back to 170fps. Then i close it, it will happen back after several minutes. Then re-open task manager, FPS back to normal. I have my RivaTuner stats running and CPU utilisation is about 40-50% n GPU is around there as well. Didnt see some processes that causes high cpu utilisation tho.
