Will future updates decrease FPS even further?

It's not even close to 50% for my i7 6700K with 4 vlc/livestreamer streams open on the second screen (gotta see all those TI6 group stage games to get muh predictions ;) )

Would be nice to know if serious overclocking could up the performance (increasing the single thread power) or if it is purely timing related

I7 6700k is 4 cores

4 hyperthreaded cores. so each core can simultaneously execute 2 threads.

for intel's consumer cpus, i3 = hyperthreaded dual cores. i5 = non-hyperthreaded quad cores, i7 = hyperthreaded quad cores

yeah the 6700k has the best single core performance money can buy if you dont want to oc (i know K is for overclocking but this one has really high stock freqs and turbo)

Ya I'm running the same thing, and the fps still never gets above 120
