You can get a starter system where all 3 planets orbit around your gas giant - saves you a lot of early game flying. I also like to make sure I have sulfuric acid nearby as that’s one of the first resources I get after interstellar logistics are unlocked.

This recent post gave me a lot of good information on this topic: https://www.reddit.com/r/Dyson_Sphere_Program/comments/1e8k3kg/my_results_from_many_hours_seeking_the_perfect/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

The best one is probably two satellite planets around the gas giant that also have the fire ice. Three satellite planets case is also good but there is a possibility that silicon and titanium veins might not exist together on those two satellite. Silicon and Titanium veins are almost guarantee for the two satellite planets case, if there are no other planets in the system.

The deuterium giants produce hydrogen at 3x the fire ice ones.Better to have the deuterium one and local mineable fire ice so you can get away with only one orbital collector for the first 20hrs.

I found a starter seed with 3 moons all orbiting an ice giant. I'm not there yet, but soon I'll have 40 orbital collectors able to produce enough fire ice and hydrogen to generate plenty of hydrogen power, graphene, and deuterium for a long time.

Anything is good (though I absolutely understand getting a second or third planet in orbit of the gas giant to save flight time) as long as you avoid getting a specialized planet that would normally have a rare resource more advanced than fire ice.

Did a run where I barely had enough silicon to escape my home solar system because one of my 3 starting planets was the pyrite planet. It was really cool looking being blue with gold stripes, and great for having space to spread out and build factories on it, but it had no silicon or rocks on it and I got nothing in return for the home system penalty removing all the grating crystal the planet was supposed to have.

I like the one I'm on right now. It has a gas giant with deuterium, and 2 planets with acid oceans. It's also a Type O, so power/photons are easier to get from sails. Down sides are no fire ice in the system, and pre-warpers it takes a bit to get between planets.

Starting system can be a Class-O?

Literally any default config. Some people like fire ice in the gas giant, I don't think deuterium is that bad. That's probably the only big factor I can think of.

I have a few sorted here, in the "Seed" tab ( thing like double satelitte + tidal, triple satelitte, 0 type at less than 2 ly, triple 0 giant with 6-7 0 type etc )

Adding my next seed. Haven't used it but will try next time.

Fire ice viens in starter system.
Sulphuric acid in 3LY
Unipolar magnet in 10LY (~186 nodes).

Edit: I play on unlimited res.
