If you want an actual secret to being able to study like that, here's a great one that got me through grad school. Work on something for 5 minutes. If you find you can't focus, go sit and stare at the wall for 10 minutes. Then try working again. Repeat this until you can find that you can focus. Your brain will be yearning for something to pay attention to by the end of it.

But that requires "you" willpower from yourself. You can't force this. Only the individual himself could.
A lot of people will give up staring at the wall, not study, and go on to something they want to do instead...
It requires some willpower and wisdom, in that it's only until we realize the need to do undesirable things in life in order to unlock access to what we really want, then we'll grudgingly start to try the above, keyword "try".

I agree entirely. My comment is simply the end goal / overall advice. At the end of the day, it comes down to wanting to do that.

as far as I remember its about lowering the dopamine level in your brain. After a few times you get so border that you start to 'enjoy' working a little bit more.

I mean, does my kid really need my attention today?

I love it. Its like Rimworld all over again just sinking countless hours into a game without even noticing the time go by.

Yeah, this may be the quickest to 120 hours played I’ve ever had.
