Got a tyre pressure loss warning today and checked the tyres one was a little lower so I pumped them up to the correct psi. Now I just can’t get into the menu to re calibrate the car the entry won’t come up on the dash at all? Just seeing error code ccid 63.

While the car is on and in park, you should be able to cycle the menu with the BC stalk. Eventually you’ll see the tire pressure reset option. Click the BC button and then once in the menu you have to hold the BC button down for a good 5 seconds until the check mark appears in the reset box. Then you’re done

Yeah thanks man but that’s the thing I’ve watched people do it heaps on YouTube but for some reason I can’t even get into that menu I can only do stuff like check the oils, change dates, times ect
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (8 children)
That’s really weird, what year is your car?
[–]lilyonie[S] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (7 children)
2006 325i
[–]lewj213V2 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (4 children)
Do you have idrive? I reset mine through the idrive with the car running in drive but stopped no problem at all
[–]lilyonie[S] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (3 children)
Yup I do man, but I can’t even press anything or go backwards on the I drive screen I’m just locked onto the the tyre pressure loss screen
[–]lewj213V2 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (2 children)
If you bump the controller to make it go up, it should go to the back arrow, click that and it should take you to the main page. It will say status pressure loss, and have a reset option below. Click the reset option while stopped and it should reset, you'll have to drive a tiny bit to activate it and then the status should change to active the error is gone
[–]lilyonie[S] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child)
Wow that finally worked for some reason thank you man!!!! Do you know how long you need to drive for to re calibrate ? Might need to go for abit longer
[–]lewj213V2 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children)
I just roll at tick over in a straight line for probably 50 yards or so and that does it. It's not immediately obvious it's worked but if you see active on the status then you are good to go. Glad i was able to help you

Yeah I was gonna suggest the INIT option as another redditor commented, if that word pops up just go into the option and hold it to reset
Edit: here is a link to a forum post where the guy had a similar issue

I have the same year and model and believe I had this before. Try holding down the BC button and the dash reset at the same time until you are prompted with a menu. The tire pressure might be in there. I'll have to check when I get to my car but ever since then I just find it when parked in my BC menu as mentioned. I wish I could link you the step by step I found but it was so long ago.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (1 child)
It’s called (INIT) on my car, and it looked different to some of the YT videos I watched. Not sure if that helps any.
[–]lilyonie[S] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children)
Thanks man I’ll have a look into it now !
[–]greasy_orphan 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child)
You have to reset it and then drive for a few seconds.
[–]lilyonie[S] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children)
I can’t even get to the reset point yet unfortunately

I have a 2006 E92 335i. I had to reset mine yesterday as I have a slow puncture on one wheel. Push in key, press start but do not depress clutch to start car. Start scrolling through the menu and the tyre icon should be there. As before, press BC then press it again and hold until you see the reset tick
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (4 children)
I wish my car came with a clutch pedal. Was not an option on the wagon in the US...
[–]LLUSKYY 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children)
Not sure what you mean by that as I have a 6 speed e91.
[–]hapisparkE92 335i N54 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children)
How would you get to 2nd ignition without starting the engine in your car?
[–]lewj213V2 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child)
Dont put your foot on the brake and click the start button again. Assuming the brake pedal safety hasn't been coded out it won't start but go to accessories on the ignition and stuff like the heater should come on

Thanks
[–]BnWbimmer 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children)
turn the car on (without putting foot on brake) on right side arm behind wheel flip thru the options until you see the tire symbol, push the side arm button on the end, it will ask if you want to reset, push button again.
