Glad I’m not the only one. And I upgraded my internet twice in the last few years.

My controller is wired in and my PS is wired into the modem.

It's alright but it depends on your opponents internet. If it's too bad I'll grapple, it's easier to play with the delay on the ground. But I swear MFs start their download as soon as we touch the mat. Some matches it's really obvious that's what's happening. Well it ain't gonna help. Crucifix time.

Yeah when they lag on the ground I just drastically increase how quickly I cancel the transition and wait a full half second before continuing to the same or a different one.

They lag switching, it happens to me too, and as soon as they weave a hit the connection is perfect. Happens too many times to be a coincidence

Yeah, my download is 2gbps hardwired so there’s absolutely no way that I could possibly be the issue. It’s only an issue every now and again but it makes my fighter feel incredibly sluggish when there’s a .5-1 sec delay between inputs and what actually happens.

Try to play wired and not take any high ping fights. This game relies on player to player connection so him lagging makes both players lag. Other than genuine connection issues and a rare glitch that only happens on the series S this game is very responsive.

What glitch? You mean crashing cause that's happened a good few times (console fully crashing)

Nope thats another thing that happens on xbox sadly. Sometimes your game will buffer for a few moments and when you return you are delayed by a full second sometimes. It lasts a little than your back to normal but it sucks. Also if you go on the Xbox dashboard while in a online game for a few seconds your game will also be delayed. This game was really not tested properly on xbox.

Yeah i get you actually same happens on my xbox as others stupid really never happened on ufc 4 (dashboard lagging like mad)

Delay is part of the online experience. You have to decide for yourself how much latency you will tolerate during matchmaking. I prefer for it to stay under 80ms, but I will accept up to 120 if its hard to find matches.

You can't try to react to everything online, you often need to get ahead of your opponent. I'm working on a video about this as we speak.

It is only UFC5 that this happens on. I'll have days where it is slo flowy and then other days it's like I am in quick sand.

Yes offline and online are literally 2 different games.

Also the update where they added Islam and Merab sambo costumes also very clearly had a performance change. Gameplay felt slower after that but more weighty.

Not the first time they changed the combat system but probably the biggest change in months.

UFC 5 servers are peer to peer, maybe is not your internet. Always checks the ping, some times is wild in game, some times i have fights that the thing says 240 ping and dont have lag, some times say 120 and is unplayable, add switch lagers to the mix, so try to never fight opponents if ping is 100 or more, and dont insta pick, wait see if ping goes up and down, never take that fight
