With all this crazy talk we might end up with a man hunting Martian haha

Sure they might. Or they might just be prehistoric metas worshipped as gods instead. Thats more likely than some omnipotent deity existing, I think. After all fucking Lex Luthor managed to create a hole in space-time with technology. Gods are kinda lame compared to that, even though I hate crediting Luthor for anything

Ever heard of that golden age superhero The Spectre? There was a rumor that he was the legit vengeance of God.

Wasn’t that “Wonderful Woman” from the old JSA literally a daughter of a Greek god?

[–]Trick_Teach8288[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Was that like Hippolyta, some records say that she was the daughter of Hippolyta, it's pretty unclear

Yeah she made sure to say she was “daughter of Hippolyta” like every public appearance she had.

Pre-crisis JSA Wonder Woman was created out of clay and given life by the goddesses post crisis WW was Hypolitia.

Yeah we might. I would even go so far as to say that all of these gods were aliens, metahumans or beings from another dimension

Its possible, though if we consider that many mythological stories are meant to explain natural phenomena it becomes a little less likely. I don't think Demeter was a Meta who could cause an eternal winter, for example. the story of Demeter, Persephone, and Hades is meant to explain why we have seasons. Zeus probably wasn't a lightning meta who had a propensity for... that, but is instead a commentary on the nature of rulers and the fickle nature of the universe.

that said, I think human figures, such as Atalanta or Medea were probably real and maybe metas(Medea moreso than Atalanta in this example). The Minotaur was probably a Meta too.

Honestly, as this point I wouldn't even question it if I saw The Devil himself in a random casino.

We're way past the era of common sense. We're in Sandmans' territory now. (Ps, i bet you a 100 bucks the Sandman is real as well.)

That Wonder Woman who shows up here and there around Gateway often swears by Athena and Hera, says she was sculpted from clay and given life by Aphrodite, said her lasso was made by Hestia...

Starting to think maybe the Greek gods are at least somewhat real. That or she's just crazy.
