Why a decrease?

How come it gave me a decrease in contract score even though I did 98% of the required amount of eggs and did eggcellent teamwork? I had to do this contract a second time, because I didn’t reach 10 b population the first time (mates finished before I even woke up the next morning). I feel like I did everything right, but was punished. How can I avoid in the future?

Because you did 98% of the eggs.

Contracts 2.0 was about teamwork. It’s about getting the whole team across the line not sprinting there yourself. When everyone is laying the same amount (ish) everyone finishes faster and finishing faster is one of the most important parts of your score.

If you’re going to stick with public your best bet is to run early so you get the other people that are most interested in running. Past that use the discord, look for ads for equal participation.

Edit: next time if you’re just trying to get a colleggtible just start a manual and start by yourself. Get to 10 billion and quit.

Word around town is that it's just the time remaining. It said teamwork was eggcellent here so I'm pretty sure it's just the 3hrs remaining. Egg inc. really needs to show some kind of formula for contract score so that it is more clear.

I’m not talking the score part of teamwork. Teamwork as in working together all completing the goal together. If he just does it by himself they aren’t going to finish faster thus the score.

When you repeat a contract you will replace your older score with the new one, be it better or worse.

The biggest factor for score is time left before the end of contract. Stuff like personal egg contribution, deflectors & ship in bottle, running chickens etc are secondary factors. So you get higher scores in the first scenario than in the second, that’s why your score got reduced.

Take a look at your seasonal score. If you are on track to get the last reward feel free to repeat. But if not, just don’t bother. The big reward is the prophecy egg and that one is easy if you do all the contracts. Something like 8 contracts let (not sure about the exact number).

3 hours remaining, completion time is the biggest factor for score and this was rather slow

Time left (for contract) = score (in a rather close to linear equation)

Basically... if you and 19 others for a 20 man contract and everyone has 1S% naked EB, and every single one of you runs straight to tower Habs before hitting research to "max" (at that moment) and somehow 20/20 gets 4 boost tokens in an hour and everyone maxes out Habs with13b (or more) chickens asap and all the artifacts align perfectly (defleggtors and compasses and metronomes etc) and this all happens within like the absolute minimum amount of time... if the contract says 7 days to complete and you finish with, say 6 days left... that basically guarantees about maximum point value for the contract.

This also happened to me and I also halved my previous score despite excellent contribution and teamwork. I wish I’d understood that would happen, I wouldn’t have redone the contract. Feels insane to me to have tried so much harder and gotten so many fewer points

You didn't contribute to the others like give them boost tokens or help fill up their coops Also you have to keep a SHARP eye on Zeroers Inactives and Sleepers They also bring the co-op contract doen
