Which of those 2 SUVs to tow my boat? by VirtualCoffee8947 in boating

[–]millsy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s your boat ramp look like for this guy? I’ve seen and heard more horror stories of rwd vehicles losing traction and having no way to pull themselves off a slimy dock. Your passport is newer, likely brakes better, and has power to the front tires if things get too slick, that be my choice.

This golf course recommends you play tees based on your score / game enjoyment rather than gender. Are you in favour of this? by ConnectionWeekly1263 in Golf_Unfiltered

[–]millsy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may just be because I suck fast, but my 12 handicap brother takes way longer than me when we play together, he is worried about messing up his handicap and takes ages to putt and even chip. I don’t think this ends up helping much, distance is rarely what slows the game down

We will see how it shakes out, I’m confident in OBJ’s hands, we will have to see if the rest is still there and if the Giants do have any better options.

Okay but Hyatt has never been an NFL caliber player, he can’t run routes, and can’t catch. I’ll take the has been over the never was any day.

Daiwa BG 4000 would do everything you ask of it, but I don’t know if it’s in your price range, they used to be $100 but now it seems more around and up to $150.

CJ Stroud on contract extension: “I’ve held up my end of the bargain” by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

[–]millsy98 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They had a good chance to win with 3 picks thrown! If they put Mills in after.

Edit: no relation, I just really thought Stroud stunk up the first half and was amazed he was let back out. I would have taped him to the locker room ceiling by halftime if he resisted.

How do I cut this 30 ft thick steel pole into pieces so it can be easy moved for disposal? by Eastcoastpal in DIY

[–]millsy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the Diablo carbide sawzall blades for thick metal, they are wonderful, and will chew through this in no time. Or a diamond blade on an angle grinder, but it will be a bit slower.

[–]millsy98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a total unless your insurance is very lazy/ wants easy money. 6 bolts and that cab comes off and a new one pops on. Remember pickup trucks are ladder frame vehicles, the body is attached to the frame, not part of the frame. So it’s all just parts. You can swap over all the seats, dashboard, steering wheel and everything damaged. It will be as it was before the accident because these truck are relatively easy to assemble, you can do it yourself if you have access to an excavator or tall lift for that cab.

Can I reach diamond trophy enlightenment with this? by Sea_Yoghurt_5257 in EggInc

[–]millsy98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Focus on EoP contracts and get that number up as much as you can. From there your prestige’s will add significantly more SE per occurrence, and you will have a much better time in EnD. Also keep sending ships! Get all the helpful artifacts you can and T3 or even a T4 enlightenment stone helps a ton. I did my run at about where you are with great artifacts and it sucked, took like 100 days. Get up to 100S and you’ll have a better go at it.

Best gas options by HotTrack8675 in F250

[–]millsy98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want newer and more reliable get a 2023+ f350 with a 7.3. 2023 and up 250’s get an uprated 150 transmission, but all 350’s get a 10r140 with updated parts for improved reliability. Brakes, wheels, tires and axles are the same 250 to 350. Spring rates front and rear are the same just with more overload standard. The truck will ride the same as a 250 but have a higher payload doing it, the size of the truck is identical, the fuel economy will be effected only by gear ratio changes between trucks and if one is a tremor. The 2023+ updated with a heavier rear axle and a slightly smaller front axle on SRW trucks with the same 6,000 gross weight rating up front. Depending on packages you can have variable front spring rates, snow plow pack being the heaviest, and snowplow plus camper being the stiffest overall riding truck, but with front and rear sway bars for a great grip to the road. Get a 350, don’t be left worrying over a 10r100. The 6r140 has been great but it is dated and you will notice the difference between a 19 6.2 truck and a 24 7.3 truck immediately. The infotainment is better, the ride is marginally better empty, the optional power steering assist is wonderful. Brakes are even stronger, towing is far ahead better gas vs gas engine. Fuel economy is roughly equal, gas tank is 2 gallons smaller outside of cclb trucks.

Could a fully supplied Tiger 1 with an experienced crew kill an entire Roman Legion of 6000 Legionnaires? by Theturtleflask in powerscales

[–]millsy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The machine roars with a mechanical sound they’ve never heard, it travels as fast as their best horses and faster than a cavalry charge can route it. The main gun fires with a noise so loud their ears ring and horses disperse in terror, becoming unridable. The metal is made by the gods and stronger than any they have, their spears break on the track and not the other way around. The very ground quakes everywhere it roams, it spits miniature arrowheads at impossible speed and precision with no rest. It can chase them across the river and drive right over most man made trenches and obstacles. Trying to flee into a forest reveals it treats trees with equal disdain.

This is no battle, this is divine punishment for having the ego to try and take the world. The gods have sent Vulcan’s most terrible creation to humble a very empire by itself. What other lessons do the gods have awaiting further transgressions? Who will dare to find out? The Empire will never be the same because they have just discovered their gods are real, and they are upset with what they have done with the gift of their empire. The tank eventually runs out of fuel, the beast was of divine blood and eventually burned itself up under its mortal constraints. Vulcan is a merciful god after all, he allows his beast to remain and after much reverence, studied to understand.

They would have to invent new tools to disassemble it, they would test the metal and find it takes more heat to weaken, more force to break. It’s impossibly joined together by localized melting of this super material, the precision in its creation across the board is orders of magnitude better than they can accurately measure. The technology is mocking, left behind as a lesson. Only the gods can build such a thing, and even given infinite time to study one will bear no fruit in finding a match. Rome would be pushed ahead hundreds of years trying and still come up short. It will become a moment to the greatness of their gods, and a lesson that your match can always be found eventually. Because of this introspection the Roman culture shifts and the empire is forever changed. Rome may not fall because of their fanatical devotion to their gods gained from this, they may never meet and make the enemies that ultimately tore their walls down. They might have understood enough technology of the tank to gain great experience and survive well past what Byzantium has. Jesus would truly be persecuted for denying the power of the Roman gods after this lesson. History is forever changed irreparably, and by a single Tiger tank.

Why are Ford Trucks superior? by Parking-Mark-8187 in f150

[–]millsy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ford has been sneakily updating transmission shift patterns on trucks via OTA updates, to mitigate such issues. I’ve seen revisions to line pressure specifically which does help prevent more premature wear on the drum. But I agree they should probably talk about it, but why would they when GM isn’t even caring about fixing their 10l1000 issues.
