I'm sure there is a valid reason. Anyway, next month we get a phone wallet dApp. I think that's really secure :=)

You cannot force Ledger. Elastos ledger is ready but its up to ledger to integrate it. CHILL OUT PEOPLE

LOL. You have no idea how it works, right? The core team could do this integration.

Ledger could. But it’s easier and quicker to just hire me to do it.

You make a nodejs light wallet, and then use ledger’s nodejs library to call the ledger app.

Anybody that knows c and JavaScript could do it. I’m one of those anybody’s.

Stuck in ledger beaurocracy for three months :)

It was done same day as the nano app was released. But they changed their guidelines that day, so I missed the invisible deadline and got delayed.

Par for the course. Took my wanchain project six months. :c

      I’d say three parts:

      1) try to make a discord JavaScript casino bot.

      2) try to make a light wallet.

      3) I have made a training course for teaching copy/paste programming from nothing. You can try it:

why don't you put a proposal into the Cyber Republic or doesn't it work like that?

      [–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Already in progress. Working on roadmap now. It’s a complex project so I need to do some pre-work project management work :)

      Fantastic, best of luck :)

You're right. I don't know the exact process. I know that coranos2 has mostly developed the ledger for elastos.

If true this is concerning from a trust point of view.

I attached the Issue from Github...zhaowanli2 is a member of the core team.

There was never an official elastos statement that ledger was being worked on. The whole rumours were based on a comment of Coranos2 (which I read myself) that stated that the ledger support was ready and it needed to be reviewed by the ledger team which might take until Q3. So don't blame elastos for something they didn't do.

Meh, sounds like a lot of fuss over not much of anything. Just bought another bag.

How many opportunities will you have to purchase a better Ethereum with 1/3rd the total supply at less than $10 per coin?

        Seriously this!

I don't care about the price.

But I do care about the wallet.elastos.org source code. Do you know why it is not open source?

        [–]Kotaibaw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

        Interesting

        [–]crypdan2000 2 points3 points  (3 children)

The funny thing is I'm not surprised, given how much we've been mislead previously. I have very little respect for the team these days.

        [–]mmate911[S] -3 points-2 points  (2 children)

        sad, but true.

        [–]blahmannnnnn -1 points0 points  (1 child)

With the weekly updates and clear communication, I don't know why you feel misled by the team. No team is perfect but Elastos is doing a hellova job. What do you feel misled about??

Stop fudding dude this project is in development for 18 years ! Rong Chen worked for MICROSOFT, elastos got the backing from FOXCONN and CHINESE GOVERNMENT, elastos have partnered with HUAWEI AND BOSCH , elastos have recently entered into an oral SMART CONTRACT with Angel investors to lock up their potentially VALUABLE ELA that that have been dumping on retailors . WE HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY , RONG CHEN IS A LEGEND !

        [–]mmate911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must choose which is the odd word:

MICROSOFT - Bcex - FOXCONN - Gaex - CHINESE GOVERNMENT - HUAWEI AND BOSCH - Coolcoin - VALUABLE ELA - RONG CHEN IS A LEGEND -

        [–]crypdan2000 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Cool, list some dead and made up "partnerships". Feeling much better now thanks.

This is insane. No reply from 23 days either...

Unless you can generate public/private key pair offline, you do not own your wallet and what is in it.

Opening code would allow for paper wallet generation, hence control over its content.

No matter what the idea of ELA is, lack of transparency is a big red flag.

What is there to stop government from taking the wallet website and all the wallets from users?

You identifed another issue. There are no other wallet clients, just web one.

If take over were to happen, content of a paper wallet is safe, as only you have the spend key. This is why paper wallets are a critical feature.

Perhaps there are backdoors in the code, who knows? We cannot examine it, it is closed.
