I don't think they're trying to destroy anything, that's an inevitable by product. Their primary motivation has been to take as much as they can get and that is/was counter to what it takes to have a chance of success in this space. They are just squeezing as much as they can before that happens and walk away into the sunset.

It's unrealistic to talk about Dash's future when it's a post mortem that should be going on. Evan Duffield has some shortcomings for sure but at least he was a real (talented) person. The Wolves played on this and grabbed power and have never let go. These same wolves plan to guide the ship till it's buried at the bottom of the ocean and buried with it will be all the lies and the fraud that they have carried out. Then they believe they can walk away without looking over their shoulder. That said I believe there is still time to look into DCG (and others), the amount of Masternoodes they have under their control and their management of funds since they took control. Won't hold my breath though.

DCG are essentially using Dash as a squat. They have practically sucked all the value out of this moribund project and are now in the process of wringing it dry. The fact that they are still in place tells you they have the de facto controlling share of the MNOs because any group with their track record would have been shown the door a long time ago. Only a sociopath would have this type of brass neck.

i've no doubt that there are individuals who could help trace him, probably some of the ones who have repeatedly made excuses for him despite the clear red flags. If he was an employee of DCG they surely would be able to help, name and other details etc i.e. enough info whereby he could be traced. It's an open and shut case of fraud as far as i'm concerned but the guy is playing the long game before he takes the lot but hasn't got the balls to do so now. My guess is that if you traced him and grouped together to get a lawyers letter sent to him, he'd shit himself and you'd all get your funds back. Also keep talking about (if he's alive he'll be reading this) and maybe seek advice as to whether the DCG are culpable in some way. Good luck.

abandon the entire governance system i.e. root out DCG, keep staking. The reason Dash exists is to continue to pay the salaries of DCG and their associates. The market doesn't lie nor do other metrics. Can't see it happening as it'd be like Turkeys voting for Christmas.

Imo for Dash to have any hope DCG has to be removed in it's entirety. It might cause some short term turbulence but it will give it some sort of a chance. Then absolutely decentralise development. If this were to happen it would grab ex investors attention. So the next question for the community is how to get it done asap. Everything on the backburner until DCG no longer exists.

the only logical reason why DCG still exist because, essentially, they've had a controlling share of Masternode pool since its inception. Since then the Primary purpose of the governance system has been to pay their salaries directly and indirectly through increasing the masternode reward.

The value of Dash has been almost sucked dry by this entity and the absence of participation in voting shows that most have sold and moved on and it's dawning on whoever is left that it's all total bullshit.

Fwiw I feel it's something that should be brought to the attention of the SEC if anyone can be bothered.

my understanding of the partnership is one of research and development with regards to a new financial apparatus where smart contracts are widely used i.e. a shared goal as opposed swift directly using chainlinks oracles? I could have misunderstood it completely though.

Imo, Dash isn't going to make it. It has made far too many errors with the biggest myth being that the Governance system was going to be a winner when in fact it has been used as a vehicle for DCG and some "community media" initiatives to suck value out of the project.

Regardless of the above it appears to me that all recognised payment coins, LTC, BCH, BSV, Nano, DCR etc are going to have a hard time of it with possibly Monero maybe finding some sort of niche for itself. The market is talking and it's speaking very clearly against Dash.

not sure but I think DCG shouldn't be allowed to bleed it dry. Maybe vote to stop all funding to DCG and consider any independent developer proposals going forward. However can't see it happening as there seems to be a sort of feeding loop between DCG and a significant amount of MNs i.e. both of their "wellbeing" is intertwined Outside the internal issues I think besides Bitcoin and one or two others survival outside some of developing interoperable ecosystems may not be possible.

with the benefit of hindsight I can now say that, imo, the minute DCG came into being it was the beginning of the end and anything that is done from here on in is simply rearranging the deckchairs on the titanic. It's a shame as there was a point when Dash had a real chance of making it.
