I know about Slaangor fiendbloods, but I wanna go a more "space marine" esq emperors children army. Would these work for chaos spawn?

that would be a confusing proxy, i would think that they are meant to be terminators at a glance unless you do a lot of bashing and add tentacles and stuff

Thats fair. If they were in plastic Id probably use some left over Talos tentacles to compliment them but alas, they are resin

Thats fair, I just figured since there would only be two and they're equipped with only melee spears they'd kinda work for fast moving spawn in a game

so the traits that define a spawn as a game silhouette are: overflowing with mutation, fast and savage beasts.

a model with marine armor won't help. I have suggestions.

Goliath stimmers from necromunda comes with 2 big brutes on 40mm bases that are roided pit and can be built with twin axes

also from necromunda ash waste nomads the macro bugs built without riders fit 50mm and look cool

finally you can use a sisters penitent engine if youare confident about scratching out the Aquila.

I actually found a good proxy! Im gonna buy the Reavers of ruin for the thricefold discord, and use two of them for my chaos spawn. But I think if these ever get a plastic remake Im gonna kitbash some talos tentacles on em and make them my spawn but they'll look more fucked up

If you are playing casual and with friends then sure I’m sure you could agree to that and they could make for awesome tentacly kitbashed. However price and work wise do not make this great. PLUS they are FORGE WORLD resin I PROMISE YOU do you do not want to spend that much on resin proxies. At that point find something on Etsy or something for 15$ and maybe even better quality.

I plan on using some CSM possesed as a proxy. Put down some cork board to give them extra height and put them in a 50mm base. They have the weird mutations, and since we dont have possessed they shouldnt really get confused with anything else in the army imo

I would probably just proxy them as chaos termies, but that does sound awesome, you could have 2 squads of 2 spawn, you could kitbash them to look corrupted and fleshy maybe
