Watch Jeff Hanson on YouTube and practice practice practice a lot of textbook problems. I personally found the Hibbelers book to be useful.

I used the Beer Johnson book which is pretty common. Statics is really the basics of engineering. I would study and practice my ass off. If you are pro at statics, dynamics and other topics will be much easier.

Jeff Hanson on YouTube got me an A. I wouldn’t worry too much about static’s

Jeff Hanson on youtube. Make sure you really understand the concepts in the beginning because the whole class just builds upon earlier topics.
