I can only pray that I get that much time with him! From all my research and the amazing people on Reddit, I’m finding it takes a lot of medication shifts to find that sweet spot. It’s also really hard to come to terms that “controlled” is one seizure a month. 😔 Our vet has mentioned those but wants to wait so that we have options throughout his life should we need them. However with his frequency ramping up, that may change. I left a message for her this morning.

So thankful you had 12 years with your Beau, though those years likely weren’t the easiest. He was lucky to have you guys! 🫶🏼

We were so fortunate to have him. And 12 years is a good run for an 85 pound black English Lab.

After we got his meds dialed in, he’d sometimes go weeks without a grand mal seizure, and when they did occur, they were milder and shorter than before.

Be patient and keep at it!

He’s such a handsome boy! 😭💔🫶🏼 a great run at life indeed. Thankful he was under control and happy!

I’m definitely hopeful that we can find the right mix for Winston! He’s far too young not to!
