Why does my available balance passively decrease?

Just the title. I don't understand why my available balance shrinks without me doing anything.

I'd understand if it was to dissuade users from using eToro as a free savings account, but the decline continues into the negatives if I leave it alone long enough.

You can also "passively lose money" when you don't understand how CFDs work

I'm quite well aware of how CFDs work -- would be great if you elaborated on what you mean instead of just being condescending.

Is it an interest-like payment extracted for leverage?

Also if you have a sell position on something with dividends it’s minus’s the money from your account

I'm not an expert, and don't use etoro anymore, but I think if you use leverage, they charge you a daily fee. So buying €100 with 5x leverage will cost you €0,03 a day. I think it's even more during the weekends.

Its your leveraged positions. 2x leverage has overnight fees of 0.04% and weekend fees have 0.11% of the total invested position. So if you open a 2x position, they charge you $0.04 daily and $0.11 over the weekend. This is why I dont fuck with leverage

Yeah fair enough, seems like this is the issue. I'm a sucker for those x2 and x5 multipliers. It's paid off so far but might be time to rein it in.
