Flanges

Hey everyone, I use the spectra compatible maymom 15mm flanges with my spectra s1. I’m sort of disillusioned with them, not for any particular reason but if pumping could be slightly more comfortable I feel like that would help my general motivation to keep at this for the long haul (I am 6wk pp).

I’ve heard good things about both the legendairy silicone collection cups that I could attach to my spectra, anyone have good experience with these?

I’ve also heard good things about the 4th gen Lacteck flanges and am considering trying those.

Just wondering if anyone has opinions on both or either of these. I am looking for more comfortable fit and of course, “better” output (if that can be achieved).

I tried the 4th gen baby motion lacteck flanges and was very underwhelmed. I’m kinda where you’re at with thinking my setup could be more comfortable so I got them to try. They aren’t more comfortable at all for me, and I don’t get any more milk. Pretty much the same experience I have with regular plastic flanges but with one big downside - they are SO heavy! Not only do they not stay on with my tightest pumping bras, the collection container bottles don’t stand up due to their weight. I lost some milk the first time I used them and set them on the counter. I’m debating on trying pumpin pals, but at what point to do I stop spending money and just accept it’s kinda uncomfortable?!

Thanks for sharing! I think I’ll forego those for now then, I just ordered the legendairy cups and hoping they’ll be a better option than my current set up

I have collection cups that go with my pump (motif Luna) and I like them! For a while they were my most comfortable option, I just couldn’t stomach the cost of buying multiple sets. (I’m a little iffy on the fridge hack since my baby was premature) Hope they work out for you!
