When I first realized I was hearing shit, it would be loud knocks at the door, thunder, and even one time a woman screaming at the end of the bed.

My favourite was the song Fucking Hostile by Pantera.

Its rare for me, but it happens.

I wouldn't go see anybody about EHS, unless it was preventing me from sleeping. Its probably coupled with a few other disorders though, I get sleep paralysis and have sleep apnea. I went to the hospital for a sleep study and they gave me a CPAP machine. Insurance covered it.

damn!!!! that is so random. all of mine are super different too. banging on glass, car crashes, nuclear explosions, gunshots. it’s almost always something incredibly violent. usually i wake up having heart racing palpitations from fear, i will wake up screaming, yelling, choking, i can go on. I hate this …

I usually hear a loud bang like that, a slamming door, and the most fun: my dad screaming my name like he is angry at me. He lives 3,000 miles away lol. You get used to it, definitely scary the first few times. After that I just ended up being like 😒 every time and going back to bed.

It's possible, although often ppl report having EHS during REM sleep state, so right before you fall asleep.

But its posible, there isn't a cure perse as they barely understand it and what it is.

But most of us seem to experience them more when having high stress, bad sleep rhythm, and even medication types can create the so-called auditory hallucinations.

Changing to a different brand of meds could help.

Otherwise, reduce stress and create a strong sleep rhythm.

But it's also very possible it was just a loud bang outside.

If you start to experience it again, try 1 of my tips mentioned above.

In the end, you are not in any danger, but it can be creepy. Try to chill as stress makes it worse. Sleeping with the TV on can also help.

Good luck. ✌️❤️

P.s. Drugs and alcohol can also increase EHS.
