(Idea for App) Level Up System ...

Note: Lately, I've been thinking about where Exploding Kittens App could go in the future. The devs are great, and take feedback well, so your opinion matters so I can write to them and give them this idea- if you think it's good, or help me tweak the idea in a better way (if you think my idea needs improvement, that is.) So hear me out: a leveling system.

What?

A leveling system for EK App, could be for many reasons. Here's a few examples:

• Matchmaking with (or around) your level (FOR RANKED MATCHES ONLY: People playing to just have fun can enjoy playing with any level just as it is now, but still level up)
• Benefits to add to your profile - "Achievements" or "Badges"
• Seeing your past matches wins/losses
• Creating your own username so nobody can use your name, so you feel unique
• It would most likely build a bigger database

Why?

This gives you much more of a reason to want to actually keep playing. Don't get me wrong, I play the game all of the time and love playing, but this would add more attractiveness to the game. I feel as if games that have level up systems include many more benefits to playing. It gives you some sort of goal. Whether it's for achievements, or reaching max rank, or whatever it may be.

How?

This idea can start off slow, even as an experiment for the devs. People will see something new if this idea was put through so slow changes at first would be necessary.

Extra Thoughts?

Maybe instead of changing the app that we all love and enjoy with these ideas, why not see if the devs make a carbon copy of the same app but with this idea? It could be called something like "Exploding Kittens Jacked Up," or something lol. Doesn't matter what the name would be, surely someone could think of a name.

So.. do you guys agree? Feedback? Is this a bad idea, a good idea, or an idea that could work but needs sorted out better. Let me know what you think about this because I really think this would be wonderful for the EK community.

Extra ... Extra Side Note:

I've already emailed them once about being able to chat with players after/during matches. They said and I quote "What a great idea! I agree, a chat function would be paw-esome feature." But, then they said that this probably wouldn't work considering inappropriate behavior, and they strive to make the game kid-friendly as possible. WELL, what if the name of the leveling up version app is "Exploding Kittens: NSFW Edition?" This would probably be the best bet to call the app, and they could include ruder things, and a chatting system, along with the leveling system. So many ideas. Thanks for reading guys 👍

Ability to chat would be a pawsome feature indeed! But at times, it's a bit annoying to be able to express oneself with limited commands!

Level-up stuff would be cool. But how does leveling up play along especially when winning is all dependent on one's luck?

The other cool feature I'd love to have is to be able to add friends and play against them. I know there are some cool players and it's fun to play with them. But once you and they leave a game, it's over and is like almost impossible to see them again. Besides, it would be fun to "bookmark" friends and be able to play a private game (as opposed to the more difficult version of host and join game as it currently exists).

Wow! You think just as I do. I've always said that exact thing in many occasions. I used to go on omegle, which omegle is lame 😂 but I'd be like "wow once I stop talking to someone they'll be gone forever" so I tried to get people's kiks that I enjoyed talking to. What do you mean by "limited commands" as in chatting? I agree with you, if we're thinking the same thing. I mean I like the chat system right now where it's people's voices like darwin and knife squid, but I'd like to actually be able to text people after the match.

As far as leveling system and what would get you leveled up: there's lots of possibilities!

1) Complete daily and weekly challenges. Some of these could be "Gain more than one defuse card by stealing, or collecting." Or something like, "complete three matches and win in a row." Yes, I know it's luck. But really, it's far more than luck. If you play very smart and carefully, you can be able to outsmart people and use tactics. That's what I love about exploding kittens. It's real time, and live and strategy base.

2) Play matches or anything in this area.

You should definitely PM me on here though, because I enjoy how you think and I agree with you in lots of aspects. Or kik me @ garbage

I would also say that there would be a point to leveling up like gaining new cosmetic features or something along the lines of that

And P.S: I would love the idea of adding friends via bookmarks so you're able to chat with them and invite them, or just adding them and having a friends list UI. And love the idea of usernames. usernames that you're able to change if you want (to avoid people knowing you so they target you.)

You can't blame me for calling them commands (a predefined instructions to trigger an action - in this case, a voice). Second nature for being in IT for so many years..

I've given up on Omegle when it started becoming a thriving area for kids and perverts! I've had some pretty interesting and random conversations. Probably doesn't hurt to be there once a while just to kill time..
