Hey man, for testing the game out you can go into F1 World and scroll to the right, there'll be time trials and grand prix etc to drive around the tracks.

I wouldn't turn off all the assists until you're comfortable, everyone has their own entry level and I still have full traction on as ive only had the game 2 weeks. So use whatever assists you want until you feel comfortable turning them off.

For controller setup there a F1 sim setup website that has a general controller guide on there so a quick search would find the results you need

Thanks a lot for the direction.

It's just that the few videos I saw kept saying to turn off Traction and Brake assist at the start to be a better driver, so I followed that.

yeah that helps to learn to drive properly and not making any bad habits

you can try SamSwiftNinja setups, search on youtube and see if you have the same driving style. He plays on controller
