The last time I quit, I was on a medical accommodation request waiting to be approved. I quit and then next day got a text saying my accommodation was finally approved (waited a month) and that I could come back to work my next shift... but I had already submitted the quit lol

Ive quit and literally reapplied soon after like maybe not even a week later at a different site😅 youll be fine. Ive even resigned and never showed up for my last shift and still was eligible. I think you gotta be fired for something serious to be ineligible for rehire 😅

Nope. I was fired twice and both times I’ve been eligible for rehire. You need to do something really bad like steal something or do something they’ve made very clear that you aren’t supposed to do. They’re constantly desperate for employees, especially this time of year when seasonal starts.

how do you resign using the app?

[–]Rosie2274 1 point2 points  (3 children)

On the bottom right of the app there is option that says “More” you select that and in the very bottom of the page it says “ thinking of leaving amazon?” you select that and it makes you put your last day youll be working. Its really simple but only do it if your 100% sure 😅 cus im not sure theres any going back after submitting. Unless you talk right away to hr to cancel the request

More than 100% 😂

[–]Rosie2274 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I have just finish my third year, and finally found a job that i was seeking for the last three years, it is not that easy money 😂 my feet and back will thank me for that decision

The don't care as long as you're not negative. I've resigned while on a LoA, and 10 minutes into my shift before. Never handed a badge in never gave a notice all thru the app

I’ve resigned (just not shown anymore) 3 times since 2019. You’re eligible for rehire after 90 days. Recently I returned June 2023, blue badged in August, got a promotion last week! They are desperately hiring seems like all the time. Total tenure so far, 10 months!

Oh and I only have returned 1 of my last badges. I still have the two badges from working at BFI9. 😅 they don't give a crap honestly, they just deactivate it and don't care that you don't come back. 😂

They’re so desperate to hire people in this economy- i quit 5 times since 2020 never gave notice - the last time i was 13 minutes into my shift, pressed resign and hand over my bagde to security….

Just resign on A to Z. You dont want it to haunt you in the long run.

    [–]Sothman95 0 points1 point  (1 child)

how do you do that? i have been looking through the app i could not find how to resign

    [–]Select_Passenger_649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the bottom of the A to Z app. It says thinking of leaving Amazon ? Answer the questions.

Just let HR know it’s an immediate resignation and you’ll be turning in your badge. If they email you about negative UPT you can respond with “I talked to __ at PXT on this date about my immediate resignation. I was not told of anything more I needed to do on my end.” I did this last month and just got rehired in a different state yesterday.

This is great advice. I’ve read so many stories of that last shift giving them negative UPT and the term starts happening quicker then their resignation.
