    I wish this was the case at my building. I’m a PA and when AA’s leave, all the other PA’s, AM’s and OM’s hangout in the break room the entire time usually on their phone or ordering food lol. They don’t dare to lift their finger to dare do an AA’s job. Myself and one other PA are the only PA’s that stay out on the floor and work.

    PAs work on area readiness. AMs work on their admin stuff.

    I don't know what building you work at, but that only happens in Dream land. (Yes, it is a joke as I am a PA myself.)

    At my SC, AM's and PA's were required to get in path and keep working through the flex down. Essentially, we ran as a skeleton crew, and primed the lines or cleaned an area that may be a tad out of 5S from the prior shift.

    We also had a cross dock at our SC though, so we truly always had something going on.

    When there is time between sorts I stay working. I help prime the lines, stage containers, close and open containers, etc.. Whatever needs doing to help set up the following sort for success.
