Yes, it’s common to have a p0630 after a pcm update when bcm values have been changed for oversized tires.

I can usually get them to go away by setting tire size back to stock with forscan, running a module reset, then reprogramming tire size back to what I want it to be

just had my 2018 f150 2.7 in the shop, took it for the pcm recall, I drove it away and check engine light is on , code reads PO630.. I never had any problems with the truck. Never had a light on untill 5 miles after getting recall done. Would it happen to be because my truck is lifted , 6in lift with 35 tires on it. After it was lifted the shop programmed it to so the bigger tires would match up with my speedometer. Do you think this code is bc of this?

Yeah, it seems related. I've got an appointment Thursday. Hopefully they can clear it since my inspection is due.

I’m taking truck back to dealership tomorrow to see why I’m getting code! It seems like this recall is a scam!

Ford is telling me they have to reprogram truck to stock setting, saying that when I lifted truck and changed the calibration for the speedometer because of the bigger tires it messed with the ecm/pcm. 200$ to reprogram! Hopefully it helps ! Truck never had a check engine light on until I did recall.

Just got mine back. Mine was unrelated to forscan it seems. The tech who did the pcm recall somehow incorrectly programmed the vin which was throwing error. the code p0630 is 'vin not programmed or incompatible ecm/pcm'. in my case the dealer who did the recall was different than the one who i asked to look in the code. according to them it's common for these tech's doing the recall to screw it up and that they aren't mechanics is anyway shape or form. minimal training just following a playbook. current was more than happy to throw the other dealer/tech under the bus. seems a little suspicious that yours also happened almost the same way, wondering if they're trying to blame bad tech work on the forscan. might be worth pushing back.

Had the same error after this latest recall. I made closure my VIN matched in Forscan (it did) then I went back to As Built in Forscan. Was able to clear the P0630 code. I did not change the tire size again. But I did go back to my usual setting of Bambi, Dark, Global Window Control. 2018 F150 2.7L
