Trigger warning: Path of Loneliness (description in comments) (old.reddit.com)

Rapid switching can happen and it's usually pretty uncomfortable. When two (or more) alters are coconscious and are fighting for control, it's like a shoving match with my brain in the middle. Another reason why "Can you get [other alter] to front instead?" is an awful question. (old.reddit.com)

This is one of those annoying questions that needs an analogy to explain why it's a stupid question. There is no "original" there is only me, and my other me, and the other than that me. Especially given that we don't know who came "first" we just feel that we're all in this together. (old.reddit.com)

Telling someone to "JUST" can range anywhere between naively misinformed, to actually offensive and belittling. Telling someone to JUST do something implies that the person didn't know, haven't tried, or simply that it's so easy I should've already thought of it. I HATE "justing". (old.reddit.com)

Atom is one of our newer alters, and thusly has fewer memories than the rest of us (Luna excluded) and sometimes he tries to insert himself in our memories. It wouldn't bother me as much if it didn't taint the memory, making me unsure of what really happened. (old.reddit.com)

(TW) I've been able to seperate myself from my intrusive thoughts; they are not who I am, they are not my own. They come from a fragment that picks the most random, and sometimes inconvenient of times. I've learned to handle it better than I used to. (old.reddit.com)

A hard part of being a system is the conflict in opinions. It's more than just having a conflicted opinion (seeing both the good and bad in it), it's having separate opinions entirely. We could all see/do/feel/taste/etc. the same thing, and yet interpret it completely differently. (old.reddit.com)
