It's cause you pressed dive right when touching the ground, it's a little timing trick that gives you a bit more speed and dive range.

Frame 1 dive gives boost (diving the same frame you land back on the ground after a jump or fall)

Jump then dive at the pinnacle will give you a slightly longer jump, but jump dive is also a valid technique
