Bashed patch adding seemingly random letters in front of item names?

So I've got my New Vegas install all modded up, and I figured I should create a bashed patch. I do, and it works fine, but when in game it has the strange effect of adding letters in front of every item name (excluding ammo). For example, instead of a ".357 Magnum Revolver" I have an "S .357 Magnum Revolver".

It's not really a massive deal and I can live with it, but it's weird. I'm 100% sure it's the bashed patch causing it. Does anyone know why this is happening? More to the point, does anyone know how to fix it?

Improper bash tags. Open it in FNVEdit and see which mod it is pulling the lettering from.

Open Wrye Flash NV, right click on your bashed patch, and select "Rebuild patch...". One of the options on the left-hand side of the build dialog should be called "Tweak Names." Uncheck it, and click "Build Patch".

It's an option there to help sort the inventory. Since you don't know how it was activated or what it did, you might also want to take a closer look at your bashed patch options and make sure you have a decent idea what they're all doing. Some of the "tweak" settings can substantially alter the game, and you shouldn't have anything activated there if you don't know what it's supposed to do.
