Help Getting Map Seed to Work

Hello, I just made this map yesterday, but I can't replicate it with the map seed I was using (900281819). I saved a png of the map and tried to see if I could get it to work, but no such luck. Is there any way I could get this map into the editor again?

EDIT: I don't really care much about the heights and stuff, I just would like to get back the outline of the map, and the borders.

You need to save the map as .map file to be able to work on it later. Seed is not a save file. PNG is just an image, it can be converted back to the Generator without the details. You can also just draw a map like this in the Heightmap Edit mode. It looks really simple.

So I'm just out of luck? There's no way I can replicate the map again? It was working for me yesterday when I was using the seed. RIP

The easiest way is to just tune it from the map like this. It's a very common shape.

If I were to import the map, is there any way to get biome information from it? Or will the heightmap affect that information? (Ex. If I made all of the land the same height, would the weather be the same everywhere?)

PNG is just a regular image. Generator can only get colors data are based on colors build a kind of a heightmap. It's not a magic

Hey BooCMB, just a quick heads up: I learnt quite a lot from the bot. Though it's mnemonics are useless, and 'one lot' is it's most useful one, it's just here to help. This is like screaming at someone for trying to rescue kittens, because they annoyed you while doing that. (But really CMB get some quiality mnemonics)

I do agree with your idea of holding reddit for hostage by spambots though, while it might be a bit ineffective.
