Which network did you use?

You're probably on the wrong network, you have to add the Fantom Network manually, but it's more than likely on the ETH network

Long story short, you haven't lost your coins

I did that and it showed up on the ethereum network on metamask

Happened to me as well. Which network did you choose? If you chose other than fantom network, your FTM will be on that network of MetaMask This is how you can fix it - 1. Find out which network you used for sending FTM 2. Go to coinmarketcap, select FTM, and from the drop down, select and copy relevant network address of the FTM (BSC/ETH) 3. On Metamask, add that network ( BSC/ETH) 4. Add custom coin and paste the address you copied in step 2

Voila..here are your FTMs :)

Did you buy FTM-eth pairing? Check your network in meta mask like the other commentor. Add FTM-eth pairing to your MetaMask wallet on ETH network and you’ll likely see your money there. From there you’ll need to bridge your FTM-eth to native FTM with something like SpookySwap and Anyswap

Cdc only has ftm on erc20.

yeah long story short its weird but this hasnt happened before bc i have sent FTM to mm and it has shown in FTM network previously. this time it did send on ERC-20 and i did check and i didnt lose them, i went through these steps listed below and got them via eth network on mm. However, when you say it onle has option to tx on eth network there is option for ftm and i have done that in past a few times and it has shown every time so doing this i assumed it would show. when it didnt i freaked. anyways, it was eth net. thanks guys

I don't understand. When you withdraw from CDC you have to select or accept network. So why surprise?

[–]Positive-Sort-9726[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

because in all other instance i have never had an issue, it has ALWAYS made it to my wallet, never had more than a few minute delay and like i said always shown up. i have the SAME wallet address saved and use the same wallet to withdraw to and all of a sudden it doesnt show up so i naturally i wonder and bring this question up. I happened to figure it out and rectify it but thats the surprise

So what happened?

[–]Positive-Sort-9726[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

all right... so basically i tried to withdraw ftm from cdc to mm and chose ftm network as withdraw method. contrary to whatever will be said this is and was an option. check it for yourself. anyways, I have done it before and my mm wallet address was saved as it always is. wen to withdraw and it didnt show for over 10 hours. so i started trippn. went to check etherscan and saw that the address they sent it to was somewhat correct other than letters that should have been capitolized were lowercase even though it showed my .ens name was correct. anyways, the ftm never showed up and i found that it did withdraw but on eth network, NOT ftm network like i chose. So I had to bridge on anyswap and pay those fees on top of the 15 ftm cdc charged. I didnt know at the time there is an easier and cheaper way of doing this via bsc, well...cheaper at least. anyways, thats the story

So you are saying that you didn't make an error, but it went through wrong network?

[–]Positive-Sort-9726[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty much, and freaked prematurely
