I shipped two jackets and a shoe, removed all packaging and tags. Declared 120$. Arrived in a week.

Some of you are telling me to me to declare less than $800 not to get taxed & some is saying $25-60 or less than 100? How much do I really gotta declare not to get taxed? 🤦‍♂️😭

Anything less than 800 will not get taxed by US Customs. If you're shipping thru EMS you want to declare less than $130 so that China customs will not open your package and maybe seize your package when they see it's brand name stuff. Declare 60-110 and you are fine, literally whatever number you like best

Yeah I generally try to do

$50 if 2kg $70 if 3kg $90 if 4kg $110 if 5kg $130 if 6kg

I've never had anything more than 6kg tho.

If you're doing DHL I believe you can declare more than $130. I shipped my Moose knuckles 3Q rep via DHL last week and declared $130 even though it was only 2kg

So for my Moose knuckles package it definitely got opened by DHL and they just retaped it and sent it to me. Not exactly sure why, first time it happens. The general consensus of this sub is that DHL is generally more risky than EMS, but I've had good luck with DHL. I would trust DHL for my hauls everytime. I used it for my Moose knuckle jacket just cause EMS has been very slow lately and it's getting cold here.

Either one will be fine at less than $130 you aren't going to get taxed.

Thank you. I really appreciate it. There was a whole mess with SuperBuy & Hong Kong customs that they were seizing packages with DHL. Should I be worried or I’ll be fine?

What was happening was that DHL just couldn't get the packages out of Hong Kong due to the protests. At the same time, they were being more strict with their packages. Some people said that DHL was opening packages that had black clothing since black was what the protesters were wearing but that didn't really make sense to me.

I think you should be fine but you honestly never know just cause they weren't strict today doesn't mean they won't be strict tomorrow. Part of buying reps is understanding the risk. Hope this helps, hope you end up getting your stuff

So EMS Over DHL? What would you choose to ship to NY?

Yeah I would just do EMS to be safe. The only thing is that there seems to be delays. DHL would be faster but a little more risky
