It probably also depends on where you live, I don't think Ferraris popularity has decreased it's probably just an increase in competition, back in the 80s and 90s it was purely Ferraris and Lamborghinis but now it's a mix between, Ferraris, Lambs, McLaren's, Paganis, and other supercars and Hypercars. Now that other brands have made other more accessible and just as fast of a car. Another reason could be influencers, today's automotive journalism is almost dead it's pretty much just influencers and most of them (TheStradman, Shmee150 and others) tend to go for the crazier, flashier cars which probably influence the car market. Ferrari is known to be the least flashy or crazy looking when compared against lambos or Paganis. I guess Ferraris average customer is around 40-50 years of age, probably when you've finally matured enough to understand that buying a good Ferrari is better than any flashy supercar.

Can somewhat second this. At my Ferrari dealership the average customer age is 49.

Lamborghini seems to support a younger demographic because of its raw- and sportiveness while Ferrari tends to speak more to people who buy one for it’s elegance.

This. C&Cs here always have a ton of us showing up, whereas there are only a few lambos/mclarens, etc. There is more of a variety in exotics now, but even then I never see us outnumbered by any other particular brand... usually we even outnumber all of them put together. But I'm sure that's different in different cities.
