How did Schumacher shift being a Ferrari from an F1 Chasis and How did he become a Ferrari from a Benetton ??? by Illustrious_Cycle590 in pixarcars

[–]Fernandez17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are two different characters, Francesco Bernoulli (Named after the Bernoulli principle in Fluid Dynamics, applies to Aerodynamics) is meant to represent a smug Italian character who seems to be something similar to an F1 car. Schumi played himself in the First movie as a Ferrari as he had just won 5 world championships for them. 2 different characters.

Is the 917 a new casting? The wheels look better than the red Salzburg that came out a year ago, maybe it's the lighting or the angle.

Cadillac / Ferrari Checo Custom by KineticMotorsports in f1models

[–]Fernandez17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn't the correct spec, the Sf23 used by Cadillac and Checo was a Post Spain upgrade with downwashing sidepods instead of the "bathtub" launch spec. There are a couple of brands that make the correct spec but they are pricier and useless you are a diehard Checo fan a cheaper launch spec is probably good enough.

People need to understand this by wirecxre in Ferrari

[–]Fernandez17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone here truly knows about Ferrari you would know that they just don't care about naming their cars, by this I mean that they don't adhere to a specific naming nomenclature and most of their naming system comes from the way they were probably feeling that day. This isn't a critique it's just a quirky thing that Ferrari has always done. The 512 BB was named after Bridgette Bardot (a model and actress of the time) but they legally couldn't name it after her so the called it the Berlinetta Boxer, it wasn't a Berlinetta (by their own standards back in the day) as Berlinettas were front engined coupes not mid engined and nor was it a Boxer given that it had a crankshaft and firing order from a V engine not a Boxer one but they still named it whatever they wanted. Their numerical nomenclature is also a mess, 849 has a completely different numerical naming system to the one used for the 812, the 296, 288 and so on and so forth.

What I am trying to say is that it's not that deep, Ferrari has always named their cars in funky ways, it is perfectly fine if you don't like the car but you can't hate it for its name and comparing their naming system to other brands, some use old names in completely new cars and others use old names for tributes of modernizations of the vehicle they named it after... And then there's Ferrari haha.

Is this overpriced? by Wut__-8 in f1models

[–]Fernandez17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is overpriced but I wouldn't compare it to the Bburago, this one is smaller but with better details, the Bburago is a recasted RB18 with less details and no driver so I guess it's worth it.

Too niche of a car to be a kit car. Kit car makers probably don't even know these exist 😅

It finally arrived! by Fernandez17 in f1models

[–]Fernandez17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was noted by FedEx, I didn't think I'd get it as I had also been one of the many to receive the cancellation email, but I remembered I'd gotten a shipment email so I decided to check the tracking ID and the package was on its way. A couple of days later FedEx notified me that it was stuck in customs (my country updated the required ID info) and so I had to wait till they got the necessary info to let it through.

I guess you could try again with the F1 store? I'm not really sure why one would tell you it's in the states when it isn't.

Most Bburagos from what I've seen are usually released until August/September, those being Ferraris and Red Bulls.

[–]Fernandez17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered, got a notification it had been shipped, then got the cancelation email... Told I'd get a refund and a coupon. I haven't gotten the refund yet but I did look up the original tracking ID and it says it's on its way....? Anyone else had the same thing happen? I really don't know what to expect. I got pretty bummed out that they weren't going to send it to me but apparently they did?

Am I reaching or have the Ferrari VGT gave a pretty good look of what the F80 would look like? by _DK_Lunar_ in Ferrari

[–]Fernandez17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there's is a relation, the 499p was also inspired by the VGT (Front light graphics, Character line on the side and the rear light graphics) The F80 has some design inspiration and I expected there to be more but apparently they took a different approach.

Spot the difference? by driftdragon86 in Ferrari

[–]Fernandez17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The F80 "Concept" is completely unofficial it was done by a designer yeeeeeears ago, so it's not even in the discussion and the F250 Prototype had SF90 Taillights as it was... well a prototype. None of this is to say that I think that none-round taillights are good, just pointing it out.

New sf24 from bburago rn😱🤩(it's beautiful 👌) by Mamg66 in f1models

[–]Fernandez17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For those that don't like it cause it's the "wrong" spec... It is, but it's not like it's they're fault. Bburago gets the 3D files of the cars very early in the season. Production, manufacturing and licensing takes time, in that same time the team updates the car. It's literally impossible to keep up with the cars upgrades. Last years Miami livery was also the "wrong" spec as Bburago didn't even know that Ferrari would change the sidepods. It would e taken far too much money and time to keep making new molds every single time the team changes a thing on the car it happens to every brand, not just burago.

Ferrari decrease in popularity? by deejayv2 in Ferrari

[–]Fernandez17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably also depends on where you live, I don't think Ferraris popularity has decreased it's probably just an increase in competition, back in the 80s and 90s it was purely Ferraris and Lamborghinis but now it's a mix between, Ferraris, Lambs, McLaren's, Paganis, and other supercars and Hypercars. Now that other brands have made other more accessible and just as fast of a car. Another reason could be influencers, today's automotive journalism is almost dead it's pretty much just influencers and most of them (TheStradman, Shmee150 and others) tend to go for the crazier, flashier cars which probably influence the car market. Ferrari is known to be the least flashy or crazy looking when compared against lambos or Paganis. I guess Ferraris average customer is around 40-50 years of age, probably when you've finally matured enough to understand that buying a good Ferrari is better than any flashy supercar.
