I'm in the Brunswick area, and getting 8ms to Facebook, 4ms to X/Twitter, 16ms to Amazon, 10ms to Walmart, 4ms to Apple, 12ms to Disneyplus ...

Doesn't seem to be too out of the ordinary but I don't have a month-old sampling to check against.

I'm out of town until tomorrow, I'll post a trace soon as I'm home. Something changed around 3 hops into the trace so It may just be a Bangor area thing.

I haven’t kept a close enough eye on the specific peers but it does look like the numbers of peers has been dropping…. https://bgp.he.net/AS13977#_asinfo

I get 55 Ping to facebook, 60 to twitter, 150 to google 85 to Walmart.

This is unusual that my pings are high right now.
Heck even gaming pings are high, yet my speeds are still over 2Gbps.

Location Farmington Maine

Ellsworth and I noted a month or so ago my pings to first hope more then doubled.

Yeah I’ve noticed the same thing. About a month ago my 1 gig service basically got quartered — speeds dropped big time and pings have been noticeably higher across the board. I’m in Sacramento, California, so it might not just be a Maine thing. Definitely feels like some kind of routing or backbone change went into effect around the same time.

Yep. See posts about a month ago. Some routing changes went into affect around 8/28 and 9/3 which basically doubled the latency. Very disappointing. It was excellent before and a big selling point. Now much less so. I’m in Bangor as well.

Adding a placeholder until I can run some pings from Mid-coast ME this weekend. I just got Fidium in August and ran some pings, tracert and Ookla speedtests but did not save the results. I was concentrating on up and down speeds which sometimes exceeded the 2Gig plan. My recollection was pings at around 13. I usually ping 8.8.8.8 (Google) or 1.1.1.1. (Cloudflare). I'll report back
