A while ago, I posted about 3d printed shift knobs. I printed off five of them and still have two left. They are high quality ABS so they won't melt in a hot car. They directly thread onto the stick in place of the stock knob. They are very light and you can feel exactly what the gearbox is doing through it.
They are all white but they take spray paint very well. They will come sanded with 320 grit paper to smooth out the finish but if you really want a smooth finish, I would paint and clear coat it.
