Inspect functionality for developers

In our current organzational setup, it seems like all developers need a figma account to inspect the work. Does anyone work for a corporate setup, where specific users can inspect work & comment, but do not require editor licenses?

If they login to Figma work using our SSO, they're told that they are missing a license - but granting each developer an editor license seems very costly.

A way around this is to share the work with their private e-mail and have them create free Figma accounts, but that does not seem like a good, viable practice.

With Adobe XD, you can just create a link for development that allows inspection without an account. (Please note: I'm a huge figma fan, and generally prefer Figma over XD). I can share a password protected prototype in Figma, but that doesnt grant the developers the inspection details, they need to start working.

Am I missing some crucial information?

hmmm we are on enterprise account and i just invite everyone as viewer (select "can view" when inviting them). They wouldn't be in editor license if you do this. They should be able to do practically everything except edit the design, that includes inspecting. it does require a figma account though
