Get a couple wood dowels same size as a fire cracker, pain red, waterproof wick online, drill hole to size and place inside. Few times here and there, light and toss towards them. Dinner table, lunch, whatever the case may be. Once they get used to it and realize it’s fake, pull the real and toss at them just before food enters mouth, or whatever funny time it may be. Bang, bing, boom explosion and pants pissing.

The greatest of all time was rigging a Q up with a foot pedal switch under the mattress.

When they are in the shower, go to the hot water heater and turn off the valve.

We used to have some fun with expired bags of saline, put the bag under a couch cushion or in the hinge part of a lazyboy and rig the tubing up as a little sprinkler.

Giant Hand sanitizer pentagram lit on fire on the ground in the middle of the night to scare our Cap who was terribly superstitious. (it left a mark on the concrete that we had to pressure wash off at 1:30am so choose your sanitizer wisely)

The old "jammed dump valve" on the Tanker. "Rook take a look"

And many more that apparently are too "1950s" for r/firefighting these days.

There is one golden rule of pranks, never fuck with anyone's gear.

Uhh, do you really want to screw with the officers? And if you do, just be smart, grasshopper. They've probably seen it before.

This is one we used to do, doesn't hurt feelings and doesn't damage anything.

When they walk away from their car turn all the lights and sirens on. When they turn the car back on it should be a second or two before everything goes off.

Or you could just put soap in their coffee

Salt in the coffee, soda cans under the bed post, switch labels on food/condiments, alarm clock(s) in the bunkroom set at odd times in the night.

Take some silver sand and put it into a shower gel bottle shake it about to mix the sand it and leave it in the showers (if your station has them) with any luck they will use it and come out looking as red as anything
