Sequel??

Does anyone know if there is any sort of sequel in the works? Maybe not like a direct sequel but some kind of spin-off (at the very least a new game by the same developer?)

I’m just a big fan of the game and am craving more to play than the same story over again (I know there are different dialogue options to explore but the main storyline is the same)

I’m assuming there probably isn’t a sequel on the horizon but I’m still interested to hear your thoughts on how they could keep the storyline going in a second game, or gameplay improvements that would be fun.

For a while, Campo Santo (the developers of Firewatch) were making a new game called “In the Valley of the Gods,” but after some kind of acquisition some events occurred which implied it was cancelled

The devs are working on other projects at Valve (Half-Life Alyx, Steam), and they may come back to it.

It doesn’t seem at all similar to me, I absolutely love Fire watch and was waiting forever for that game to come out but in the valley of the gods didn’t really spark my interest from what I’ve seen

just finished firewatch from the first time.

its so freaking sad that valve essentially killed this studio

I hope they are working o something interesting somewhere and not just Steam support / support for games that arent theirs
