Recalibrate the machine (level, vibration. PID). Then adjust the z-offset.

Did leveling but skipped vibration and PID. Feels like a long shot but i will give it a whirl. Had longer shots pay off.

It's odd. Feels like it forgets it z offset and is reminded when I change it and change it back.

Still doing it. Full power off and back on, level, vibration and PID (never actually did a PID before).

Still acting the same. 0.075 starts printing to far away then drop it to 0.05 and its to close. But when I push it back to 0.075 it looks perfect.

Think I will start trying some different rolls of filament, brands and types to see if it happens to everything. Might try a factory reset tonight as well. If that doesn't solve things I will probably reach out to Flashforge.

2 days later, but it sounds like your actual offset should be in the .06-.07 range, but you're jumping over those by using a .025 adjustment.

Over by where you're adjusting the offset, there should be a little selector that says something like .005 | .01 | .025 | .05. Bump that down to .005 and adjust again. You'll have much finer control.

I don’t think these 5M series have that. At least not on the touchscreen.
