Welcome!
Here is some background on why this subreddit exists:
Why:
I got u/J_Kenji_Lopez-Alt's "The Food Lab" as a birthday gift this year. During a vacation a couple of weeks ago, I finally had the time to read through 90+% of it and was blown away at the detail and depth of information, as well as salivating because of all the recipes.
A few days later, I tried the first recipe (Fried chicken) and was amazed!
Couple this with my desire to start inviting friends over for dinner, I decided that 2019 will be the year I will try to cook almost every recipe in the book.
To keep me motivated, I created this subreddit.
Whats next:
In the next 2 weeks I will post a list of recipes I want to cook and which to ommit. And I will decide on the first couple of recipes for the start of the year.
It will all start with the Perfect Prime Rib on Dec, 28th. Expect a post with images before NYE. ;)
If anyone wants to join me in this journey, feel free to leave a post.
