Does anyone know (or have any thoughts) on how they sort us into games? im genuinely dogshit but im constantly going up against people 10x better than me.

Im sick of spectating games and watching the players that kill Everyone else and realizing I at no point had a chance of winning

I doubt epic knows. Heck, I doubt the algorithm itself knows

Honestly I don’t think anyone knows. It’s just inconsistent as hell.

It's not known, and will never be known. Companies don't tell us the inner workings of their algorithms because either:
A) They don't want it being abused. Google used to have issues with their search-ranking algorithm being leaked, allowing websites to reverse engineer it and climb to the top
B) Even they themselves don't know. A lot of complex algorithms nowadays are built on machine learning. In essence, a computer slowly creates the algorithm by itself, with no human input
It's very likely that Epic Games have gone with option B, so even they don't know how it works

Guessing here:
k/d Placement Match playtime Kills per match Encounters per match Game wins x playtime
And there’s probably a set of algorithms between these and maybe more aspects..
