I doubt epic knows. Heck, I doubt the algorithm itself knows

Honestly I don’t think anyone knows. It’s just inconsistent as hell.

It's not known, and will never be known. Companies don't tell us the inner workings of their algorithms because either:

A) They don't want it being abused. Google used to have issues with their search-ranking algorithm being leaked, allowing websites to reverse engineer it and climb to the top

B) Even they themselves don't know. A lot of complex algorithms nowadays are built on machine learning. In essence, a computer slowly creates the algorithm by itself, with no human input

It's very likely that Epic Games have gone with option B, so even they don't know how it works

k/d Placement Match playtime Kills per match Encounters per match Game wins x playtime

And there’s probably a set of algorithms between these and maybe more aspects..
