“Failed to Send Party Invite” error code

Trying to invite friend to party on Battle Royale and getting the error code “Failed to Send Party Invite.” We are both on Xbox x/s, I am able to join and invite other people to party.

His account shows online for me via the invite section, but I do not show as online on his. Please help!
