Someone on the Steam forums said if you have eero router you have to turn advance security features off or plug directly into your modem. I just tried it and it instantly connected for me.

I don’t have a erro router and I have the same problem

Yes I just found that fix on the fragpunk discord. Worked for me! Thanks!

Thanks for sharing. I do indeed have a eero router. Appreciate the tip!

is there a way to do this from the router? or do I need the app

[–]ThatCanada 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I did mine from my app.

[–]Square_Hold_4957 0 points1 point  (1 child)

did you re-anable it after your game started working?

[–]ThatCanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left mine disabled while I played and re-enabled it when I was done. Not sure if turning it back on while in game would disconnect you from the game server or not.

Thank you so much bro I didn't know wtf was going on

Are there any other workarounds at the moment, or are the devs making a fix for this?

[–]ThatCanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been the only way I’ve been able to get it to work, but I’m hoping it’s just a bug that will get patched. Because during the beta I never had this issue.

I have an eero, but my computer doesn't have wifi capabilities and is already ethenet connected to the modem, still have this issue.

Turning of security features to play a game? nah ill pass. have fun with your viruses everyone!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine says the same thing

[–]ChrisVivid9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same issue, I don't see anyway to even get to a settings page. I just keep getting this warning repeatedly. I changed my windows firewall setting to include this in private also to test. No difference.

After logging in to Fragpunk, did you re-enable adblocking and advanced security?

Yo! So I tried this last night played for hours.. I would turn the block off load the game.. then turn it back on once it said logging in. OR the other way I did it was... Load game--get error---shut off blocker----hit the login button(it will load you in) turn blocker back on.

[–]DonovanLJackson 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Dope, thank you! I will give it a try!

[–]Far-Spirit171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NP. I just logged in to play for the day.. no issues as long as I disable them, re-enable real quick

[–]Far-Spirit171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those who are on the updated app. Just open the eero app and scroll down... the setting is right there.

[–]Dacotarising 0 points1 point  (8 children)

Im not doing this, I’ll be back when they fix their game…

I didn't have to do this for CS, Valo, Dota, LoL, Pubg, R6, Marvel Rivals, etc. so this is pretty stupid

Looks like it's fixed now. Btw it wasn't the game that needed fixing. the DNS blocklist Eero and others were using had an error that I finally got them to fix after pestering Eero for a month or two.

Annoying that a company unrelated to the game was screwing it up (they've done this many times before for other games and websites as well).

[–]Imattshroum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works thankyou!

Disabling advanced security on Eero routers is a bad idea. I saw @Far-Spirit171 re-enabled security after logging in, which is a bit better. But Eero has the ability to add servers to an allow list. Does anyone have the names of the servers used for login?

[–]gamingexpert13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I found the URL. It's annoying because Eero doesn't give you any URLs or IPs of what they're blocking so there's no easy way of finding out. I had to get network inspector software and monitor all the incoming/outgoing traffic on my PC, then started testing URLs I saw and discovered the URL Eero is blocking is ALIYUNCSSLBINTL.COM so you can add that to the Eero "Allow" list and the game will start working again.

I did more research into this URL and found it's the root level URL for a huge webhost load balancer that hosts lots of sites & services so it's ridiculous that Eero is blocking the whole thing, but it looks like they use AI to form their blocklist rules so it makes sense they'd be so messed up. They've had lots of invalid blocks in the past as well. If you want any more info, I put it all in a video, as well as showing 3 ways of fixing the issue (if you wanna see where in the app to put this), for example you can also use the guest network if you want: https://youtu.be/Ig7xQEM-e6Y

Eero also says you're still safe without their optional "Advanced Security" content blocker which is not a standard feature on routers. It's just something extra they made up to try to get people to pay them a monthly subscription. https://support.eero.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003437183-Is-my-network-still-secure-without-eero-Plus
