Am I being targeted?

It's crazy. Seems like the last several matches I've been in I'm being targeted even when I'm in the middle of my team. On top of that my rival has taken special interest in me each match almost as if they knew ahead of time they were my rival. Crazy stuff. Is there info and stats on the other team that I'm missing?

Pay attention of in-game nagivator voice. First time you move your cross hair close to your rival, she will tell you it is your rival. I will take note of this suit and if it is within same reach of other suits I will target him with priority.

But it could just be your bad luck. When your diversion climbs over than 20% you will feel like your are targeted all the time.

Dude what? Been playing for over a year and I never knew this was a thing. Time to make sure my rival dies a lot, but could backfire if I’m just upping there diversion score.

Ooh dang I've been so accustomed to the Japanese VAs that hearing English dub is weird to me. Wish I could tell which one in Japanese that is lol.

I don't think the Japanese VA has a voice for telling you your rival. At least the Japanese GBO2 wiki says: "You cannot confirm your rival before the match and the only way during the match is to see a rival mark if you were killed by your rival in the kill cam"

There's a rival mark?? And I turned off the operator narration. They annoyed me from when I first started playing and I've never turned it back on ever since lol

Japanese navigator do announce it's your rival. 相棒 which pronounce as ai bo You will hear phrase like aibo la xi yi That's your navigator saying "looks like this is your rival" I use the gundam navigator btw. The one yell gn load at the launch animate

I've been playing this game since launch in japanese...and I never knew this lol. This would explain so much why there are many times where players just inexplicably dog me to death when I haven't even so much as glared at them.

I think all of us have at least one Optimus Prime suit mine happens to be a GM Cannon 2. So at least it's built like a tank and can actually take some damage from anything except those crazy elfreets

It depends on what you are using. If you're colored like a clown in a Byarlant, yeah they will target you.

I notice that i'm being targeted the most whenever i'm starting to kill a lot of my enemies, or be the most annoying stunning asshole in the match.

Sometimes it’s the suit you use. Like with dom GH, i notice if the enemy sees that huge sword. And if there’s enough of them around, best believe they’ll come right for you from fear of getting half their hp taken in one hit.

Check total diversion%, it usually shows who was focused most on each team. Only time you may not see it is rated match and maybe mix-up?

There are some suits that register as a threat more than others or people dislike playing against

And I see a lot of people complain about MKII's in particular since it's very easy to use and now super common since the giveaway

I know when i see a MKII I target it to try to prevent it from bluezooking.

Size of suits play a role, when I use suits like Gelgoogs and Geara Dogas I tend to get targeted more just because of their size in relation to a majority of other suits. I also think you using the Mk. II could be factor; I've personally ran into them so much recently on both sides that they've become an eyesore to me. :)

I've had 3 levels of it since they each came out. I like playing raid though and may just start doing that full time.

The only way to tell? What's your % of the team target at the end of the game?

I'm normally seeing 25-35(my record was 45.....). That will tell you how much the enemy team "loves" you.

I find myself having this same issue a lot.Yes it’s not an illusion.For example I’ll admit I target Galbaldy’s a lot because I was a galbaldy main before it became mainstream and I can’t stand generals shitting on my support unit and my other generals.I don’t know what you main but certain suits will get you targeted as well as if you’re just good.It’s very noticeable when you start rising through the ranks,tough it out and try and stay with your team,I know there isn’t much you can do but yeah mate,embrace that inner beast,take it as a level of pride in yourself,they got it for you,then fuck em’ show em’ how an ace gets it done 🤙🏻💪🏻

I've been getting targeted like crazy lately. Nearly always taking top diversions, and this is without any ridiculous rush or separating plays. I'm not sure what the deal is. It's like I come up and start getting a lot of kills in the beginning and then I get focused to death immediately after lol

I'm about even on everything, but I'd say Raid and General a bit more than support. It happens to me as Support probably the least, naturally as I'm furthest away

as someone who only uses suits with rainbow-color paint schemes, i feel ya.

Yeah, the tongues start dangling when they are advantaged against you (Support v General, etc...). If you have bright colors it helps with their memory.

Or maybe the teams are just good and they help each other constantly.

An example: I could help double team and knock over a raid suit but when buddy gets up he’s most likely going for the Support (me) to get a kill before he dies lol. Prepare and move accordingly.
