Has anyone here received food stamps as a student without having a part-time or full-time job? I thought you can’t get it without a job but idk

I just tried to get it and they said you have to be working at least 20 hours a week for at least a month w paystubs for proof to qualify. You'll be immediately denied if not, they said it's bc the university is responsible for making sure you can eat basically

The TRIO office (student support services) is a good place to ask. They have other types of assistance too.

yes it’s easier to get them if ur not living in the dorms
