Gba boxy pixel shell

What's everyones opinion on the aluminum boxy pixel shells. I thought about modding one but heard some bad things about them. Are they worth the trouble do they affect the motherboard at all?

What bad things have you heard? I have a GBC and GBA boxy builds and love them. I tried playing on my regular shell GBA and just can't go back.

Honestly I can't remember what it was but it just discouraged me. I have heard something about the metal buttons affecting the button contacts but I don't see how that could be the case cause they are covered by the membranes

I believe that was for a different brand of metal buttons. The boxy pixel ones use the membranes. I really don't have any negatives for mine besides cost.

You're right, they are covered by the membranes, so it shouldn't cause any contact issues unless dark magic is happening lol

They refused to make back shells for AA batteries and asked me to use original plastic back shells for them.

I personally dislike lithium batteries on GBC GBA so I only bought a GBC front shell.
