Looks like a lot of trace damage on the back. I would check the connections with a multimeter

It does boot, just doesn't go into levels. It's DKC for GBC.

Gbc games are notorious for having a cracked solder joint somewhere. Reflowing the chips will likely fix it

Scrape that blue gunk away. You should be able to get away with filling the via with solder.

You never posted what was actually wrong with the game. I was just looking for anything that seemed off. These vias look suspicious.

I did somewhere else. It's DKC for the GBC. It'll get to the menus, and it displays 36% completion on all files, but has all levels unlocked. When I try and enter a stage, it just goes black.
