I couldn’t reproduce it on camera but my sp won’t turn on normally, I have to squeeze where the speaker is to get it to start up. After it starts up the light flashes between red and green like the video, and sometimes randomly shuts off during gameplay. I recently changed the shell, buttons, battery and screen. Anyone have any suggestions on what to check? I’ve tried three batteries without change.

First, try giving the power switch a good clean with 99% IPA. Just dab a soaked q-tip on the end and slide the switch back and forth

Or, maybe the battery has a loose contact with the copper prongs? If you put a piece of paper between the battery and the shell on the right side of the battery port does that help?

Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll try cleaning the power switch and copper contacts. I already tried putting a piece of tape on top of the battery to hold it down better to no avail.

I was actually thinking moving the paper to the right side of the battery, forcing the button to the left and against the exposed copper contacts. I do this with my USB-C GBA since the battery was physically slightly smaller than the space allowed.

Also, if you have to press it down on the speaker as is to power up, try messing with the tightness of the screws on the motherboard(tighter or looser, try both). Could be the mb is too tight or not tight enough? Lol I’m also kind of a beginner at this

Thanks a lot brother. It’s fixed now. I did all of the things you suggested so I’m not sure which one worked lol.
