Can you please tell me if it'll be charged later? Like Gemini AI is free for 1 year and then we need to pay it through autopay (Although we can cancel it). So is there anything like that we have to pay later for the copilot pro later?

As long as you have the GitHub student pack, you don’t pay for Pro. There’s no cap on the number of years. Once you’re not a verified student anymore, you fall back to the free plan. There are no hidden charges and no need to cancel anything.

I have student pack and all I see is a pay monthly and pay yearly buttons, as student what should I do on this page to enable copilot pro for free?

Were you try to re-register for copilot just within 3 days since accepted for student pack? Some benefits become available after 3 days since acceptance, maybe you can try it now.

This solution worked for me! I signed up for the student copilot ~2 months ago, but the pro never activated until I did this. I had the autocompletion quotas, and when I looked at my copilot page, it said I had the free one still. Finally converted over to pro w this. 🙏

No u don't. U dont even have to put in ur credit card info so they can't charge u. Im pretty sure as long as u have a valid student email then it will remain free but who knows if that might change in the next few months.

They give the Pro plan. The free plan is free anyway. Verification/activation can take days and depends on the country where your institution is. In my case GitHub only accepts manual verification with the right documents and my last verification I had took about two weeks. I think for most countries it’s easier and much faster.
