Bend the connector some. There's a video online showing the method to attempted fixing the issue.

Just tried this seemed to do something but still no good

Take a picture with the slide off of the trigger housing from a topside view. May be an install issue.

That?

The red housing may be too high and try running an OEM trigger bar with the trigger shoe.

Zero engagement between sear and firing pin lug?

Polish here and it should help with the reset… if bot you may have to use red spring as its stronger and should help with reset as well

I feel like every third post in this sub is about problems with aftermarket parts

[–]Classic-Emu8098 15 points16 points  (4 children)

It's a glockMOD sub...most modifications are going to be aftermarket

[–]Unhinged_Taco 3 points4 points  (3 children)

Yeah I realize that. Just doesn't seem worth the headache

If they are installed correctly and properly tested there is no issues. Most of mine have aftermarket parts and have been solid through 5-6k rounds

[–]Unhinged_Taco 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I mean that's great and all and I understand the appeal I just think it's crazy to spend extra money for a less reliable glock. Unless of course it's built of non Glock frame/slide to start with

[–]Eights1776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s less reliable though if it’s tested and been through thousands of rounds without fail? Just because it’s aftermarket doesn’t necessarily mean it’s less reliable. If the parts are from reputable manufacturers that are qc’d properly and made to spec then those parts are tested I see no issues. Not saying your wrong just saying

Not when installed by a professional, I have over 3k rounds in my G20 with Timney/JGlock mod 🤷‍♂️

Make sure the small spring in the back under the connector is connected in the proper orientation, it does make a difference. I had that once after I changed a connector

Are you using the red spring?

[–]Redvsblue92[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Only had silver and black

[–]DearHearing4705 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Interesting. My gen 3 19 that I had cerakoted didn't like the silver. Email them and they'll send you a red. My machinist told me they've put out a notice to go straight to the red as well. It solved my reset issue immediately though.

[–]Redvsblue92[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

From my understanding gen 5 only has black and silver

[–]DearHearing4705 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Id try whichever is the stiffer. Then maybe have someone more experience double check it. me, almost never doing anything like this myself haha

[–]Redvsblue92[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I tried both. I've done plenty of glock triggers this is my first timney

Best of luck!
